Featured Resource

The Fourth of June by David Benedictus was first published in 1962 when the author was only 23 years old.  The Old Etonian's novel is about life at Eton and in particular it is the story of two boys. One of the  boys is a 'guinea pig' who were boys sent to the fashionable public schools under an experimental scheme started by the post-war Labour government. It is to be hoped that some of the unpleasant practices described are no longer part of the pupil experience at Eton College.
