UCL Access Arrangements


Existing Students:  An email was sent to all IOE students via IOE email accounts on 2nd December with the subject line: 'UCL user ID and password information.' To access your IOE email account, visit

If you cannot find the email from UCL Portico Services in your IOE email account, please contact the IOE Computer Helpdesk and they will refer your account query to UCL (020 7612 6696;

To obtain your UCL ID card you will need to visit the Andrew Huxley Building which is based on the UCL main campus:

New Students: If you registered online, you will have been sent your IOE computing username and password once the enrolment has been approved.

Your UCL computing username and password will be emailed to your IOE email account 5 working days after you enrol.

Your UCL ID card will be available 7 working days after you have enrolled from the Student Support Centre at the UCL Institute of Education.

Existing Staff:  If you cannot collect your UCL username and password in person you can collect a token which will allow you to reset your password remotely (the sixth option at,  Please phone 0203 108 3975 to collect your token.

New Staff:  Your UCL computing account and ID card will be available on your first day of employment.

The Newsam Library and Archives holds extensive collections of current and historical materials on education and related areas of the social sciences.
