IOE LibGuides are moving to their new home in UCL Subject Guides and LibrarySkills@UCL from 27th May 2021. Some of the content (mainly weblinks) will be moving to ReadingLists@UCL. Some guides will simply be deleted so as not to duplicate information.

The Archives and Special Collections IOE LibGuides will be moving to the UCL Special Collections website.

The library holds IOE theses and selected IOE masters dissertations. All are for reference use in the library only; some can be found on open access and others must be requested.  Records for theses and dissertations can be found on Explore.

  • IOE Dissertations published from 2000 are openly accessible on Level 5 and arranged alphabetically by the author's surname.
  • IOE pre-2000 dissertations must be requested in advance with a form at the Library Help Point or you can email with details of your request.
  • Since September 2018, MA dissertations are submitted digitally. There may be fewer paper copies of post 2017 dissertations in the library collection.
