The Archives and Special Collections IOE LibGuides will be moving to the UCL Special Collections website.
Technology is changing rapidly and its use in the classroom to support teaching and learning is always evolving. This guide covers some of the technology that you may encounter in the classroom.
Please get in touch if you would like to share technology you have found useful in your teaching and I can add to the guide.
Rebecca Wilson is a Teaching Technology Specialist who has worked for over 18 years as part of the Initial Teacher Education programme at UCL Institute of Education – the team rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2014.
She promotes the innovative use of new technologies as a teaching and learning tool, and seeks to develop the skills and knowledge of its staff and students to make this a reality. She works with academic departments to support teaching and learning with technology including initiating and supporting global technology projects and facilitating and disseminating innovative digital pedagogy.
She has an MA in Information Communication Technology in Education and is also a Fellow of the Higher education Academy. She worked in London Secondary and primary schools for over 10 years before coming to UCL.
The focus of this 'Technology in the classroom' Lib Guide is to help Student Teachers on our Initial Teacher Education programme with the use of technology to support and enrich the teaching and learning in their classroom. This resource could also be of use to other students and UCL IOE staff.
